TE TAKARANGI is Developed
After meeting at Ōhanga āmiomio, the Circular economy Pacific Summit, Juhi Shareef and Teina Boasa-Dean develop Te Takarangi, the Tūhoe Māori reimagining of Kate Raworth's Doughnut Economic Model.
2020
PROJECT:MOONSHOT is Founded
Juhi Shareef and Priti Ambani joined forces to launch their decade of action - their first initiative was Moonshot:City Podcast series featuring practitioners working to make cities more resilient and regenerative
TE TAKARANGI is Launched
Juhi and Priti launch Te Takarangi by interviewing Teina on their first Moonshot:City podcast and blog. It goes viral.
2021
The birth of the MOONSHOT MAP
2021! The Moonshot Map is created by the Co-Founders and developed with a team of Moonshot Activators. The Moonshot Map is the team's attempt to underscore place-based innovation featuring projects, initiatives, organisations leveraging circular and regenerative thinking.
The Map was launched during COP26 in an interview with Juhi and the late, great Rod Oram for Newsroom NZ.
2022
PROJECT:MOONSHOT starts to formalise
The Moonshot team starts the process of becoming a not-for-profit organsation.
The growth of the MOONSHOT MAP
The Moonshot Map is further populated and the technology platform is improved. The team starts to 'join the dots' and apply systems thinking to analyse the projects and businesses on the map.
2023

RADICAL COLLABORATION EVENT
In December, the Moonshot team hosted the Radical Collaboration event with the Embassy of the Netherlands and engineering consultancy Beca to explore the concept of living labs and to start identifying what is needed for us to collaborate for systems-change.

PROJECT:MOONSHOT delivers circular economy research for the NZ GOVERNMENT
As part of a consortium, the Moonshot team works with sector experts Dr. Joya Kamper and Kristen Joiner to identify circular economy barriers and enablers for the food system in Aotearoa New Zealand. This formed part of an economy -wide piece of research for the Ministy for Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE)

ECOSYSTEM MAP OF TRANSITION BROKERS
Following the Radical Collaboration event, PROJECT:MOONSHOT created the ecosystems map of change-agents helping Aotearoa New Zealand to transition to a better (circular / doughnut / sustainable / regenerative / wellbeing) future.
The map is opened up to the Wellbeing Economic Alliance Aotearoa (WEAll) community.
LAUNCH OF TE TAKARANGI ANIMATION
Working with GoodSense and Māori design agency Ariki Creative, PROJECT:MOONSHOT brought Te Takarangi doughnut economic model to life through animation. Most recently used by a community in the Galapagos Islands, Te Takarangi continues to be a valuable indigenous reimagining of Kate Raworth's iconic 'Western' doughnut.
